2:00pm - 2:15pm Contextual Computing and Augmented Reality to Build the 21st Century Workforce
Wednesday May 31 - Work - Room 203/204

Description

The 21st Century Workforce is being increasingly characterized by multi-skilled, cross-skilled, and dynamically adjustable talent. At the same time, McKinsey estimates that 30-45% of the global working age population is currently economically underutilized. The combination of contextual computing and augmented reality-based workplace guidance provides the potential for real-time enhancement of worker skills and knowledge to increase worker capability, flexibility, productivity, and safety. The session will discuss the challenges faced in global workforce development as well as innovative contextual computing and augmented reality capabilities that are improving the performance of blue collar workers in the field and on the factory floor today.
