Bio
Kerim Ispir is Chief Operation Officer of RE’FLEKT GmbH, Europe’s leading Augmented and Virtual Reality Experts. Based in the Munich Headquarters, Kerim leads the finance, HR and business development departments as well as the technology company’s operations. With over a decade of sales and consulting experience with diverse companies in the Augmented Reality scene, Kerim specialises in the challenges and opportunities associated with Augmented Reality. Since joining RE’FLEKT in 2013 his unique customer-oriented approach has led to the acquisition of 15 DAX clients, closed more than 200 custom high-end AR/VR projects and brought the company out of the start-up phase to profitable company in just 3 years. In 2015 Kerim closed the company’s largest investment deal with multinational engineering and electronics giant, Bosch. Kerim began his career in 2005 as a trade marketing specialist at Adidas followed by two years with Nick Hartmann Consultants. In 2010 he became the Director of Sales at Metaio GmbH, which was recently acquired by Apple in 2015. Kerim lspir successfully completed his degree in economics at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.

    Augmented Reality has been around for a while now – with plenty of major investments made to develop the technology. Yet years have passed and we still don’t see AR in our daily business lives despite such obvious benefits. At best we are only seeing sandbox projects for consumer marketing and attention grabbing stunts. Is AR tech not good enough for industrial applications or is it simply too expensive? More importantly, what do AR solution providers collectively need to do to open up their market for the masses?
