Sessions
  • Establishing Standards and Best Practices for Positional Tracking Across VR & AR
    02:00 PM - 02:30 PM Jun 1
During this presentation, Youssri Helmy—CEO of Eonite—will explore the initial case studies and lessons learned about positional tracking from previous research across computer vision and artificial intelligence. He will identify the consumer experience standards necessary for a great VR solution, and discuss what it will take for the industry to adopt, fine tune and standardize inside-out positional tracking. He will additionally explore what we can expect in consumer devices as the spaces mature, and engage the audience in discussion around other advances that need to be made for VR to become ubiquitous, as well as how the industry can settle on best practices and past key learnings from other industries to get there sooner.
