  • Challenges for Tracking Technologies in Industrial Augmented Reality Applications
    11:30 AM - 12:00 PM Jun 1
Varying lighting conditions, reflections and dynamic scene changes make the visual tracking of objects in industrial augmented reality scenarios a challenging task. This talk gives an overview of suitable tracking technologies for different use cases in the industrial domain, which address these typical problems. We present the benefits of using CAD models both for object tracking methods and also for an easy setup process. Showcasing a couple of service and maintenance applications, we demonstrate the performance and the power of model-based tracking techniques and their enormous potential in the field of industrial augmented reality.
