Bio
Marcy Boyle is a co-founder of Hot Bit VR, an upcoming explorable world of comedy.
Marcy was selected by Oculus for their Launch Pad, and Hot Bit VR was picked for the AR/VR accelerator at the Green Screen Institute. Hot Bit VR has been featured in Entrepreneur, Fox News, and as one of the “30 Best Virtual Reality Companies to Change Your World Soon.” Her 360 experiences have been featured on SamsungVR, art galleries, universities, and festivals including Toronto’s FIVARS, and London’s VRUK. Prior to VR, she co-directed the feature film, NOBODY CAN COOL, a graphic novel influenced thriller, which was released domestically and internationally. A dual citizen of Ireland and the US, Marcy graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University and is a member of Alliance of Women Directors, Women in VR, and International Game Developers Association, where she’s on the board of the VR SIG.

    Hot Bit VR produces and distributes virtual reality comedy content geared toward millennials via our end-to-end platform. We are building the largest library of VR comedy, starting with standup. 57 million millennials watch comedy videos regularly and cite comedy, not music or sports, as their number one form of cultural identity. My co-founder and I met at Columbia University. Hot Bit VR was 1 of 4 picked to participate in the first class of a AR/VR focused accelerator program at the Green Screen Institute. Now, we are excited to bring Hollywood's hottest comedians to virtual reality.
