Thomas Kirks, born October 14th 1981, received his German Diplom and a Master of Engineering of Information Technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund, Germany. Since 2007 he works at the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics in Dortmund, Germany. His field of research covers autonomous transport vehicles, 3D sensor technology and human technology interfaces.
