Sessions
  • How Business Can (and will) Transform Through VR
    04:00 PM - 04:15 PM Jun 1
Virtual reality has been making substantial in roads in the gaming and entertainment industries, changing the way we consume content and advancing the way we experience it. While that’s exciting, another area with incredible potential for VR is in business. The current market is predominantly driven by media and entertainment, but by 2020, commercial applications will exponentially increase with media and entertainment accounting only for around 11 percent of VR/AR applications and usage. From the way we sell products, like cars and homes, to how we train our workforce, the opportunity for VR to advance business and transform industries is tremendous. This session will look at the future of business with VR and how we can expect industries, as well as the everyday habits of consumers, to change. We’ll discuss how businesses and commercial designers can get started now with VR development and deployment in preparation for the future of their industries. We’ll provide real world examples of how VR is being used in industries like automotive, energy and healthcare, as well as best practices and lessons learned. It’s an exciting time with VR and the opportunities for adoption beyond gaming and entertainment are endless.
