Ashara Ekundayo is a cultural strategist, activist, and curator who facilitates the creation of collaboratory spaces where methodology amplifying the intersections of social permaculture, social entrepreneurship, and social justice can be manifested.  Through her company AE Creative she consults with organizations to assess and build capacity for increased community engagement through the use of mindfulness, creative arts practice, exhibition, and project management. In 2016 she launched MindBlown | ImpactM/R to expand the conversation on equity and intersectionality in the design of, and access to AR/VR for underserved communities by moving the narrative away from the “disaster mentality” to a “desire modality.” She works to shift culture and build futures through technologies that are competent, kind, and regenerative. Currently, Ashara serves as Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Impact Hub Oakland and is also the Director of Omi Gallery with locations in Oakland and San Francisco where she listens for place-based solutions revealed through intimate art gatherings with unlikely allies.  She holds Advisory Board positions with KQED Arts, Black Girls Code, the Oakland Public Conservatory of Music and Our City.is, and has served as a Fellow with Green For All, Emerging Arts Professionals, Institute For The Future, and Schools Without Borders.
